He was then commissioned by the Liverpool Council Arts Unit and worked as studio technician on the Hearing Is Believing project. Broadcasting from the Bluecoat Arts Centre in Liverpool, it was the first experimental arts radio station in Britain.
He has been living and working in Spain since 2006 where he is kept busy as a radio producer and broadcaster. He also runs seminars and is always looking for interesting music to play and people to interview on his radio show.
Steve tells us the highlight of his career was interviewing his musical hero Jay Semko (writer of the Due South music...you know, the one with the Mountie and the wolf...) and getting the opportunity to set up radio stations here in Spain.
He recently dabbled in the acting arena and worked with fellow Liverpool actor Jason Isaacs (Luscious Malfoy from Harry Potter) when he came to Spain to film his scenes for the Spanish historical epic The El Escorial Conspiracy. Steve was an Inquisition guard!
Since he launched his series of podcasts in December 2008 he has had over half a million downloads. He thanks all of his loyal and wonderful listeners!
